AGRICULTURE AND LIVESTOCK DEVELOPMENT DEPARTMENT Functions: •  Liaise with stakeholders in formulation of strategies geared towards the improvement of horticulture, crop and livestock production in the region •  Promoting research in collaboration with the Government and relevant NGOs on new variety of seeds, livestock and breeds for the region and disseminating the information to the farmers through LBDA's farms •  The department in collaboration with the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries ensures that the local farmers are educated on better farming methods as a strategy for higher food production in the region;
